Five Steps to Salvation

Hear the Gospel

Romans 10:17: Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

Hebrews 11:6: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Believe

Romans 10:9: If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Acts 16:31: They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

Repent of Past Sins

Luke 13:3: Unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Acts 17:30: In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

Confess Jesus as Lord

Acts 8:36: As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?" Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." The eunuch answered, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Romans 10:9-10: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Be Baptized for the Remission of Sins

Mark 16:16: Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Acts 2:38: Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

1 Peter 3:21: and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
